Hi there, I’m Aaron and I’m a digital marketer in the tech space.
I’m obsessed with the latest tech and enjoy helping tech companies grow by creating unified experiences that nurture leads from first contact to conversion.
My current role at SmartrMail, an email marketing SaaS, sees me creating content that resonates with a variety of audiences. I then drive engagement with that content through SEO, email marketing & PPC.
After attracting visitors to SmartrMail, I generate leads through a combination of landing pages, downloadable content, and interactive online tools.
These leads are then nurtured through a series of mid-funnel marketing automations I help set up and optimise with a data-first approach.

Marketing Coordinator – April 2018 – present
SmartrMail is a SaaS that provides email marketing software to merchants through a plugin available on the Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, and Neto ecommerce app platforms.
My role is all encompassing, overseeing campaign delivery from inception to performance optimisation across multiple platforms, as well as managing relationships with external stakeholders and partners.
Content Writer – 2018 – present
Sendy is a blockchain project that aims to decentralise email inboxes and reward people for their attention when reading emails.
My role with Sendy is primarily writing content which includes both short listicles as well as longer-form content.

Marketing Assistant – 2018
Sendicate is an email service provider along the lines of Mailchimp and was co- founded by the same co-founders as SmartrMail.
When I started with SmartrMail, I initially helped with Sendicate’s marketing eorts by writing a small amount of content and also helping out with customer support.
Sendicate is no longer being actively marketed as attention has focused on SmartrMail.

Master of Management (Marketing) – 2015 – 2017
Subjects covered all aspects of marketing from traditional theories on branding and market research to more modern approaches to digital marketing, consumer behaviour, and cross-cultural marketing considerations. Particular emphasis was placed on data analysis.
The course also included general business units in accounting, and human resources.
Achieved a distinction average.
Exchange Semester – 2017
Participated in a semester-long exchange program at the Copenhagen Business School.
Subjects included brand management and communication strategy which enables to me contrast Australian and European perspectives in this area.
Bachelor of Arts – 2012 – 2014
My Bachelor of Arts degree has equipped me with analytical and communication skills that I use regularly use in my work.
Moreover, my psychology major gives me a greater understanding of human behaviour than most digital marketers and trained me in a variety of statistical analysis techniques which I use when reviewing and optimising the performance of marketing campaigns.

Maastricht University – 2014
As a part of my Bachelor’s, I completed a study abroad program at Maastricht University in the Netherlands in positive psychology.
2014 – 2017
Operation Stitches is a charity based in Collingwood that runs outreach programs primarily aimed at children living in public housing estates and their families.
I originally started o as a tutor helping students with their school work but have since moved into more of a leadership role managing a small team of volunteers
2015-2016
Former fundraising officer for AidNet, an NGO startup. Primary tasks included reaching out to potential sponsors and coordinating fundraising events. Successfully oversaw a fundraising raffle generating large amount of donations.
